I made this apple crumble dessert for thanksgiving and it was the perfect end to a delicious meal. This recipe is great for someone with a busy schedule because prep time and baking time comes out to less than an hour.
Recipe makes 6 servings
Prep time: 10 min.
baking time: 45 min.
INGREDIENTS:
- 6 Apples peeled and sliced
- 2/3 cup maple syrup
- 3/4 cup Oats
- 1/2 brown sugar
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
- Pinch of salt
PREPARATION:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees (Fahrenheit)
- Use a square 8 inch deep (20 cm) baking pan
- Peel and slice apples and place into baking pan, then pour maple syrup over apples and stir (make sure all apples have been covered with syrup)
- In a mixing bowl mix flour, brown sugar, oats, butter and salt and stir until the mixture becomes like a bread crumb type consistency
- Once mixture has been well mixed use a spoon to powder the mixture over the apples. Once mix is powdered over the apples place into the hot oven and let bake for 45 minutes

Fun tip:
Add chocolate chips on the top before baking for some extra sweet flavour
